DEVELOP YOUR OWN SKILLS

These workshops will provide you with an introduction to essential survival skills such as writing research articles and grant applications, making oral presentations and teaching, obtaining employment, and personnel management. Instruction in the ethical dimensions of these skills is included in the program.

Saturday Series

Each monthly workshop is devoted to a specific survival skill. The program is geared toward the needs of graduate and professional students, postdocs, and junior faculty, but everyone is welcome to attend.

Careers Over Lunch

A brownbag series on career options for individuals obtaining advanced training in research-related fields.

Grants Over Lunch

A brownbag series on funding opportunities for individuals in research-related fields.

Moving Towards Tenure

Workshops for junior faculty to assist them in their pursuit of tenure.

Professional Skills Workshop
Atlanta, Georgia, October 13 & 14, 2006

This workshop covers a variety of skills, addressing the needs of individuals at undergraduate through faculty levels. Concurrent sessions allow you to design the workshop to meet your specific needs.

This annual trainer-of-trainers conference provides individuals with the training and materials they need to establish (or improve) instruction at their institution.
