Taking charge of your career: Selecting a research project—finding mentors—developing a training plan.

Time Management: Making the most of what you've got—balancing multiple responsibilitiesovercoming common problems (e.g. perfectionism, procrastination).

Breakout sessions:
Graduate Students:
Negotiating the path to a degree—writing and defending a dissertation—getting finished on time.

Postdocs: Establishing an advising committee—dealing with difficulties—preparing for permanent employment.

Components of the application: The different sections of fellowship and research grant applications, and what goes into them—designing saleable specific aims and hypotheses—presenting the research plan.
